Greetings friends!
Just looked out of our window to the splendid, tall Japanese Maple tree standing there stark and bare of most leaves except for a few dried and shrivelled-up hangers-on. And then I did a double-take, because there bravely daring the cold dark of winter was a fresh, bright-green young shoot! (See picture in attached newsletter). Just one! No matter how dark and cold and lifeless things are, there is always the promise and the hope of new life.
