Just having recovered from the trauma of my Mac recieving a 'fracture' -when I followed suit -
- walked to lunch with Billy
- feral forklift lies await on path
- trips
- falls
- ouch...lots of pain ... but nothing looks loose
- delightful lunch with aforesaid Billy at the manhattan cafe (aka the dr audio hang out)
- "just drive myself to the doctor to check, ha ha ha! Probably nothing!"
- " hmm, I'm sending you off for an XRay"
- "Click whirr Bzzz" = XRay
- " My, my yes, technically a 'fracture of the upper-armus-bone-right-at-the-elbow -where-it forms-a-socket-thingy' "
- "Is, is that , ah, bad?"
- " Well it's a longwise break, kinda like carot julienned, rather than diced like when grandma chops them up to boil.... that means your arm ain't aflopping around, but the joint could heal up out of synch causing problems with motion - and even a bit of the old arthritis."
- Ah So???
- Off to emergency at the austin for more poking
- Off to a bonepaedic specialist
- more Xrays, bit more prodding
- " you'll need surgery, a bed in an hosptiatl, an anasthetic, we cut your arm lash the two strips of julliened carrot together, align them up, screw them together, whack a ten tonne cast on you, send you home the next day feeling
naseaus but with heaps of legal narcotics to chew on, then six weeks later - bingo - new carrot!- Wish I'd never asked 'what's up doc'?!
- so here I am all casted up, learning to type one fingered - half as good as before?
- Did i mention it was my left carr, I mean armm? i'm lefthanded.

Actually I'm doing good, will be out and about soon. but typing is a pain right now!
