Will there still be online services?
Yes, the Online services will be continuing all the way through December 2020 and also January 2021. So whether you are away on holidays or home with friends, bookmark dvbc.online.church and join in 10am Sundays.
Are there Services at 309 Diamond Creek Rd, Plenty?
Yes, there will be Sunday morning services (10am) for the next two Sundays of December — 13/12 & 20/12. Most regular attendees should fit in. (180-200) Check your enews & emails for details.
Can I just turn up and invite my friends?
No, please do not just turn up unannounced. Anyone who wants to attend should register BEFOREHAND via the church office. You can phone or text message or email Rosemary at the Office: 0409 667 008 office@dvbc.net. On the morning of each service there will be a QRCode registration system in place (not hard to use with your phone). Be sure to bring your mask!
All of our regular attendees should 'fit in' for the services on the 13/12 and 20/12 - but because 180-200 is our limit (at 2 square metres per person) we are not promoting the Gatherings widely beyond our congregation.
Is there a gathering for everyone to meet up?
Yes, 4pm-6pm Sunday afternoon 20th of December, there will be a church picnic with carol music playing, out on the back lawns by the kitchen at church. We will need to spread out but it will be a good chance to chat with friends.
It’s going to be a BYO food, blanket or picnic table. We are hoping to book in a coffee cart too. You will also need to register yourself and any other attendees beforehand.
Is there a live Christmas Day service?
No, Christmas Day this year will be a Diamo Online Service. The Pastoral team will be joining you at home via Youtube as you unwrap your presents and and eat your Christmas breaky!
What about January?
We plan to run the Diamo Online services through January. We want everyone to have a restful break. The church office and building will be closed. We will soon advertise when face to face events start, most likely mid to late January.
However, you are all encouraged to meet up with friends and Connect group members over morning tea or brunch and celebrate together whether at home or away at the beach on holidays. The online Service can form the basis of your sharing, praying and even breaking bread together
